Jee Eun Lee-Karl, M.D.

Born in Korea and raised in Panama, Dr. Jee Eun Lee Karl received her medical degree from the University of Panama in Panama City. She then completed her residency in family medicine at the Brooklyn Hospital Center in Brooklyn, NY. After relocating to Northern Virginia with her husband and daughter, Dr. Lee Karl joined Heritage Family Practice in 2014.

Dr. Lee Karl is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and is a certified Medical Review Officer (MRO). She is fluent in English, Spanish and Korean.

Dr. Jee Eun Lee Karl believes in actively listening to her patient’s concerns and issues and then improving their quality of life either through traditional or complementary medicine.

Jeffrey B. Conklin, MD

Dr. Jeffrey Conklin was born in Orchard Park, NY and received his Medical Degree from The State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in 2002. Upon successful completion of the Internal Medicine-Pediatrics Residency Program at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, OH, Dr. Conklin started practice at the MetroHealth Buckeye Health Center in 2006. He has been practicing in Northern Virginia since January 2011 and joined Heritage Family Practice in July, 2014.

Dr. Conklin is a member of the American College of Physicians and a fellow of the American Association of Pediatrics.

Dr. Conklin believes in helping patients learn as much as they can about their medical conditions and the latest general health recommendations so that they can make the best decisions possible to maximize their wellness.

Jean Cox, FNP-C

Jean Cox, FNP-C

Jean Cox is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. She graduated from Frederick Community College in Frederick, MD, with an Associate’s Degree in Nursing. She then earned both her bachelor’s degree and her Masters of Science in Nursing at George Mason University in collaboration with the George Washington University’s School of Medicine. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau National Honor Society.

Jean has practiced as a family nurse practitioner for more than 10 years in the primary care setting, caring for both pediatric and adult patients. She is particularly interested in women’s and children’s health. Additionally, Jean has multiple years of experience providing international humanitarian healthcare in Honduras, Indonesia, Ecuador, and Haiti with Project Hope on the U.S. Navy ships, Mercy and Comfort.

Jean strives to help patients achieve optimal health by caring for them in a collaborative manner. Her goal is to have patients actively participate in the management of their personal medical problems and health maintenance.

Marie Fugitt, FNP

Marie Fugitt is a Family Nurse Practitioner and ANCC board certified.  Marie is a graduate of George Mason University, where she obtained her B.S. degree in nursing and later her Masters of Nursing.  She obtained a Post Master Certificate for Adult and Family Nurse Practitioners from George Washington University.  Marie brings over 36 years of experience in family practice and nursing to Heritage Family Practice.  Marie enjoys going to the beach, cycling and group fitness classes.  She lives in Fairfax Va with her cats.
